Minutes of the Luxembourg IPv6 Task Force meeting

Welcome addressThe meeting is chaired by Patrick Vande Walle. Actions from last meetingRestena announces they have been allocated a range of IPv6 addresses by RIPE. They will deploy a dual stack IPv4/IPv6 on the whole Restena network by September 2003. Additionally, Restena is now able to offer IPv6 peering at the Luxembourg
Internet Exchange (LIX). Interested ISPs should contact Restena to
make further arrangements. DNSv6: Restena is still pursuing tests. Further contacts should be launched with the Internet Software Consortium to seek the deployment of Bind v9. EuroDNS, a DNS registrar, wishes to offer support for IPv6 ASAP. IPv6: A National Challenge & Opportunity Briefing on worldwide IPv6 TF InitiativesThis presentation by Latif Ladid highlighted the history of the IPv6 related development projects and their relevance to the Luxembourg IPv6 Task Force. Latif suggested Restena could get in touch with the BIND developers regarding the implementation of DNSv6. Data Protection in IPv6The discussion was based on the Article 29 Working party document : http://europa.eu.int/comm/internal_market/en/dataprot/wpdocs/wp58_en.pdf The IPv6 Forum has reacted to this publication to indicate it was wrong on several accounts.
